Hero: Alex Gaskarth
Reason: He got knocked down when he was little but refused to give up, he persevered this is how he plays his lead guitar.
Style: hair colour keeps changing – he doesn’t follow the crowd, he’s like me and I can relate to him.
Songs are different to every one else’s, catchy moving exciting
‘Therapy’ is my favourite song and the lyrics mean something to me.
‘Break your little Heart’ – so meaningful, it’s about making mistakes and not giving up.
You learn from the way he says it in his lyrics and you can tell by the tone of his voice that it is serious and he’s trying to put an important message across. In ‘Therapy’ he is talking about his life mistakes and how we has overcome them and made it better and how he is going to try and help others that are maybe going through what he is going through.
‘Remembering Sunday’ is about a love story but just how he feels about this girl and how he loves her and what he would do for her.
He is my idol because I look up to him quite a lot because of the things I’ve read about him sound likes weve sort of been through the same things. His quotes and advice helps me through the tough times and cheers me up when I’m down. He is unique in the way he does things like when he is performing live, like he’s not embarrassed with the things he does because when I went to see him live, he was dancing singing, messing about and most importantly havning fun, which I why I do music to have fun and maybe get to meet someone there with my passion in music.

Heroes: Green Day
Green Day are my arts heroes because I have grown up listening to them and there lyrics are meaningful, inspiring, also can cheer you up. The songs are very chatchy and are enjoyable to learn, also it gives you a feeling of pride if you are able to play them. They have lots of different types of songs to help through sad times or happy. Their style is unique and different also they are a band who have carried on through time as many bands just come and go, but Green Day have still stayed a popular band and are still producing new albums. Their songs keep you listening and engrossed.
Green Day is my inspiration as their riffs and lyrics are interesting also mean a lot to me also it gives me ideas of songs to write or play on my bass. Although I’m not very good at bass I like to learn Green Day songs as some are simple but others are challenging – the songs relate to the music I like as they are mainly uplifting or have a meaning to it.
Hero: Synyster Gates
My name is Martin and my musical inspiration is synyster gates, he is a kick ass guitarist. He plays lead guitar in the band Avenged Sevenfold, his other band members are The Rev (dead), M Shadows, Zacky V and Johny Christ. They are all from America, the genre is alternative metal.
Synyster is of German and Spanish ancestry and join Sevenfold in 1999 at the age of 18. He studied music in College, whilst playing for Sevefold. Synyster c an also play the trombone. Synyster has featured on tracks such as, The Ricer and Dirty Little Girl. He has also played with Pinkly Smooth and Axewound.
One thing I like about Avenged Sevenfold is that they have a great stage presence. My favourite song of their’s is Unholy Confessions. The reason I like this song so much is that it just reaches out to me. I can listen to it a million times and not get bored. Synyster is also know as Syn. Syn uses schecter guitars with Signature Avenger Models. Synyster’s real name is Brian Elgin Hanger Junior and all members of Avenged Sevenfold have stage names which resemble their personality. In the future I hope to have a successful music career of my own, because it’s just what I want to do and people like Synyster inspire me to be creative. Music is my life.

Hero: Frank Turner
Frank Turner is my Hero because he is the lead guitarist and a singer. He is well known and has written some very cool songs. He inspires me because of the way he plays, it is very alive and crazy. He doesn’t really care if he messes up, he carries on. I learn from that and it works really well on stage, because even if I am nervous it doesn’t matter because I carry on.
His style is laid back but smart and he uses his surroundings to lean upon. I relate to that because I lean on walls and put me feet up on seats! I wear what I want and I don’t care what other people think. So I think that I’m a little like Frank. He is awesome.
